In the presidential candidate season, what would be the ideal president?

Dr. Bruce Ashford, Professor of Theology and Culture, joins to share his 2 cents about picking the ideal president. Focusing on character, policy, and adding a biblical viewpoint to the ballot box. The timeless criteria for a candidate are political ideologies, policy stances, character & judgment, governing style, ultimate commitments, plus track records. Today we’ll overlay these criteria onto the past presidents and, now, running candidates.

Moreover, most presidential candidates have some sort of ideology they stand for. However, what is the ideal ideology? Obviously, the perfect ideology would be rooted in God’s word. Most candidates today, however, are rooted in secular ideas. These candidates are intending to absolutize something other than God himself.
