Ephesians 1:6-8 (NLT)

“So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”

Dietrich Bonheoffer called it “cheap grace” and it is a commodity that far too many Christians trade in regularly. We get saved. We get excited. We get going. We get fed. We get comfortable. We get lazy. We get over it. As a result, we don’t experience deep and profound and lasting transformation in our lives. What a shame.

The Apostle Paul had a “Damascus road experience” that most of us can’t relate to, but does that mean our reaction to the Gospel should somehow be less? Christ’s blood was shed as much for your sins as it was for Paul’s. God’s just as excited about your salvation as He is about Paul’s or Peter’s or Bonheoffer’s or some “no name” under the radar Christian living in Nowhere, USA. His grace is anything but cheap, and His love for you is anything but regular or tepid or common.

Paul never lost his fascination with his salvation nor did he lose his infatuation with the Savior who made it possible. God’s glorious grace, rich kindness, costly forgiveness, and gift of the Holy Spirit are facts that should resonate in our hearts and minds everyday. Get in touch and stay in touch with the miracle of your salvation and you too, like Paul, will be a world changer in your part of the world!
