I felt it necessary to issue a formal apology to the ethics professor whose comments regarding Christians who can’t vote for Trump I shared on Facebook and my C2A blog recently.
Although the professor gave me permission to quote him on the radio show, he did not expressly say that I could post them online. Additionally, I added a rather provocative title to the post which he had nothing to do with. The words I shared within the post were indeed his words, but I believe I breached his trust when I chose not to seek his approval for sharing them online nor with respect to the title I chose to put ahead of his comments.
By God’s grace, this unfortunate incident will most likely bring about a helpful resource for every Christ-follower who is struggling with the question of Conscience vs. Pragmatism with respect to voting for Donald Trump this Fall. Additionally, and most importantly, this resource will also call us to the higher goal of unity within the Body of Christ, despite our deep differences of opinion on this subject.
