In light of pride month, Cincinnati’s Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church is allowing drag queens in churches to have “Drag Queen Story Hour”. Dan Davidson, a caretaker of Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church, briefly became Sparkle Leigh dressed in full drag and with loads of glitter and makeup. Reading the story of LGBTQ icon Harvey Milk to the children of the congregation. Allowing drag queens in churches is not a bad thing since Jesus love everyone; however, the trouble comes when allowing them to read pro-LGBTQ stories to children of the church. Thus, begging the question is this church an actual church or is it an organization posing as a church?
In other, brighter, news, the Supreme Court rules that Maryland’s Peace Cross can remain standing on public grounds. This is considered a win for religious liberty. Maryland’s American Humanist Association had sued for the cross to be taken down, but in a 7-2 decision that it does not violate the constitution.
