Galatians 3:26-28 (NLT)

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

There’s family…and then there is the Family of God. We tend to think of our families as the natural result of two people who fall in love, get married, and then have children. Additionally, there are other families all around us: big ones, small ones, young ones, old ones, healthy ones and broken ones. Having a family just seems like the natural thing to do…a normal part of life.

Not so with the Family of God.

If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ you are a child of God…and a member of His family. In God’s family there is no older brother or younger sister. There is no favorite and no troublemaker. There is not the smart one, the cute one, or the annoying one. In fact, there is no division at all, because “you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Hopefully, all of your family members have become Children of God by placing their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If that’s true, your have been doubly blessed! Not only do you have your own family, but you are a part of God’s Family, too…and because of that, you should strive to live as one in Christ Jesus.

APPLICATION: Take a few minutes to pray for the other families you know. Pray for their unity, but most importantly, pray for their salvation if they have yet to join God’s Family.
